Amazura Concert Hall · Queens, New York City
Khwopa to New York — one night of Newa sound, live.
18+Physical ID required
New York — get ready for a night of Nepali music, culture and energy. Kuma Sagar & The Khwopa Band bring their USA Tour 2026 to Amazura Concert Hall in Queens for one live performance, and one only.
Kuma Sagar's sound leans on traditional Nepali and Newa musical influence and pushes it somewhere modern — folk melody carried by a full live band.
Sarangi, madal, bansuri and dhime alongside guitars and drums. The full touring line-up from Bhaktapur, on one New York stage.
This is a night for the Nepali and Newa community across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut — friends, neighbours, and anyone who has been waiting to hear these songs live.

Khwopa is the Newa name for Bhaktapur — the walled city of brick, wood and drums the band is named after. Their live set carries those instruments straight into a modern rock line-up.

Nepal Bhasa is the language of the Kathmandu Valley — the language Khwopa is named in. Six words is all it takes to say hello properly on the night.

Nepal Bhasa has no single standard romanization, so you will see these spelled a few different ways. Say them anyway — nobody at this show will mind.

Getting there
On the subway: Sutphin Boulevard–Archer Avenue–JFK Airport and Jamaica Center–Parsons/Archer, both on the E, J and Z, are a short walk — about 26 minutes from Jackson Heights. On the LIRR it is roughly 8 minutes from Woodside–61st Street to Jamaica, and the AirTrain from JFK connects at Sutphin Boulevard. Resorts World Casino is about a 15-minute drive away. There is no valet, but paid parking is available nearby — on a show night the train or a rideshare is the easier call.

Amazura Concert Hall on Friday, October 2, 2026 is billed as the biggest Nepali concert of 2026 — and it is the tour's only New York date. Packages are being finalised now, and the earliest conversations get the pick of them.
Amazura holds a serious crowd, and this is the tour's only New York date — so the Nepali and Newa community across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut comes to this one night rather than spreading across a season.
Families, students, first-generation business owners. A night like this is where the tri-state Nepali community actually gathers in person, which is a very different thing from an impression on a feed.
Packages are being finalised now, which means the earliest conversations get the pick of them. Tell us what you have in mind and we will build it into the plan rather than around it.

Early bird opens 4:00 PM ET, Friday 4 September and closes 11:00 PM ET, Sunday 6 September on TixFix, or sooner if the allocation sells out. There is a countdown to it on this page.
